3D Medieval House - Blender Modeling Study

3D Medieval House - Blender Modeling Study

This project was my first introduction to Blender as previously I only used Autodesk Maya during my time studying game development. What I immediately noticed about Blender was how intuitive everything felt and the ease of use because you can edit the program to have similar key binds and layouts to Maya.

While the overall structure of this project was tutorial-based, all modeling was completed by me from start to finish. Through this project I learned:

  1. Foundational Blender tools

  2. Clean edge flow practices

  3. Modular asset reuse

  4. Efficient modeling workflows

  5. Construction of clean and detailed architectural elements

This study helped establish my understanding of non-destructive workflows, consistent scale and structural modeling techniques that I continue to apply in my personal and technical art projects today.
